During the busy harvest season, we often think about how nice it is to relax and enjoy a bottle of Vin Gris. It was made by ‘bleeding off’ a small amount of juice from our red grapes before fermentation. We like to think of it as the blood of our grapes, the sweat of our brow, and tears of joy.
This wine has a delicacy that is perfect for lighter fare. It has cherry and strawberry flavors plus zippy acidity that keeps it fresh and alive. It’s hard to believe that it would not fit into the normal blend, but both wines are better as individuals. We bottled this in clear burgundy bottles.
