Winemaker's Notes
This wine is a happy experiment of leaving some Scherrer Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon that did not fit into either of our usual bottlings in barrel for an extended period of time — nearly 4 years in wood with the remainder in stainless steel barrel. Aromas and flavors of cassis, slight herbal, soy, plums, leather all play leap frog in the glass. On the finish, the important mouth-watering acidity cleanses and rejuvenates like our much-appreciated winter rainfall.
