Winemaker's Notes
Once again, green apple aromas with slight lemon-lime along with freshly sliced pear nuances greet the nose on first approach. In the mouth, it is slightly more minerally and angular than the lush 2014, yet flows seamlessly into the surprisingly long finish for its moderate weight. The persistence on the palate is remarkably long for a wine that is not overblown or heavy, eliciting a necessary salivary response.

The 2015 Chardonnay Scherrer Vineyard is bright, floral and very nicely lifted, with terrific palate presence and lovely richness in the mid-weight style that is Fred Scherrer’s style. Orchard fruit, white flowers and mint, are all propped up by bright acids, add nuance to this very pretty, gracious chardonnay. 92 points Antonio Galloni
