Shipping Information

Shipping wine is very important to us —

too much has been invested in each bottle to have it ruined by careless handling.

We do all the packing and shipping directly at the winery. We evaluate the weather forecast for the destination and travel route for each shipment (really). If the weather is too extreme at the destination — or along the transit route — we will store your wine at the winery until a better time of year. You may opt for upgrading to air if you want your wine sooner.  We normally use FedEx and have found that having the wine shipped in your name to a local FedEx Office & Print Store or Walgreens for pick up is an excellent option especially when you aren’t sure an adult will be available to sign for the wine or if the weather is questionable on your end. They will hold the wine for you for 5 days at no additional charge. Another option is to have the wine held at the GSO/FedEx/UPS center for pickup works well.

Weather permitting, shipments are made to arrive early to mid-week in order to avoid the risk of wine sitting in a warehouse over a weekend at the destination. Ground shipments to the East are made Wed – Thurs to travel over the weekend and arrive the middle of the following week. All other shipments are typically made Mon – Wed.  If you have a special request or requirement, we do our best to make that happen but cannot pull rabbits out of hats all the time.

An adult Signature and ID is required upon delivery.

We recommend shipping to a business address if possible to better assure someone is available during business hours to accept the shipment. If you have special requests regarding your shipment, be sure to make note in the Shipping & Handling Comments when finalizing your order.

Direct shipping laws vary by state and some have limits on the amount of wine an individual may receive. We will contact you directly if your order is over a limit to make other arrangements.

We can ship as many or as few bottles as you would like. Shippers are available for 1, 3, 6, 12 and 15 packs for 750 mL bottles. Magnum shippers are 3 and 6 packs. Half bottles are in 6, 12 and 24 packs. Full bottle and half bottle orders can be combined in the same shipper and we do not require filling all spaces in the shipping box.  With GLS Delivery orders to nearby and less temperature-challenging locations we forego special shipping boxes and ship right in the normal wine cases.  This saves resources and allows us to pass on the savings to you with our very low shipping costs.
